The Call-To-Action (CTA) is an exceptional feature you can use to make your posts stand out. These come in handy when you want to guide your audience to external pages, like your website, your booking system, a campaign you’re promoting or even your company phone number to get more calls. The Call-To-Action is a special feature introduced by Google to their Location Posts. It will add additional information to your content that will shorten the path your customers need to take to – for example – book a table, place an order or sign up for your special deal.
PinMeTo gives you the option to add a Call-To-Action to your Google Post using our Posts feature. The CTA is optional.
Follow these steps to get your Call-To-Action up and running!
- Create a Google Post using our Posts feature.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page where you’ll see a section called Add call to action
There, you can choose between:
- None – no CTA will be added
- Call – your location’s phone number will be added automatically. A unique phone number will be used for each location. The button will be skipped on locations without a valid phone number.
- Learn More – This call to action will create a button on your post, that will redirect customers to a link. ‘Learn more’ works great with product teasers, product information pages and company details. These links can be UTM’s or other traceable links.
- Book – This call to action will create a button on your post, that will redirect the customer to a link. ‘Book’ is a great way to guide your customers directly to your booking webpage or anything related.
- Sign Up – This call to action will create a button on your post, that will redirect the customer to a link. Using ‘Sign up’ you can redirect your customers directly to sign up forms and other related features.
- Shop – This call to action will create a button on your post, that will redirect the customer to a link. ‘Shop’ works great with product catalogues and direct e-commerce links.
- Order – This call to action will create a button on your post, that will redirect the customer to a link. Typically we use ‘Order’ together with special deals, offers or product information.
Own your data
When you use the CTA feature you’ll get many data points in our Insights section. In the left menu, click Insights and then Google. Here you can get:
- An overview of the total number of clicks on a CTA button in all your posts in specified time range
- The total number of clicks on a CTA button in each one of your posts in specified time range
- The total number of clicks on a CTA button in each one of your locations in specified time range
Tracking done right
If you’re using a tracking system, tool or UTM, PinMeTo allows you to connect your link with the location ID listed in our platform (your listings). This way you’ll be able to properly track every single link, separately, and trace it to every individual listing. The ID for your location should be placed in the link/UTM as /listingID/. For example, if your listing is called store37, somewhere in the link you should add /store37/ so that you can trace it to each location. This tag can be placed anywhere in the link.
For example:In Add call to action, you can place your tracking link, or UTM, and PinMeTo will generate a new link, separately, according to your location ID.
Let’s say you have 10 locations, and your locations’ IDs are set from 1 to 10.
If you add a tracking link with our tag – www.pinmeto.com/{{storeid}}/, we’ll automatically change each link for:
www.pinmeto.com/1/
www.pinmeto.com/2/
www.pinmeto.com/3/
and so on.
Or
www.pinmeto.com/3/ /book/
www.pinmeto.com/book//3/
This way you’ll know how many clicks you got for each location you’re posting to.
You can also have the same link for all locations. In this case, you don’t need to use our /{{storeid}}/ tag.
You can just use, for example, www.pinmeto.com/book
